  • Leading with Authenticity During Times of Calm and Crisis

    Participants will be able to analyze and apply principles of authentic leadership to foster trust, guide teams effectively, and maintain continuity of patient care and organizational stability during both calm and crisis. 

    Introduction to Relational Leadership

    Participants will be able to analyze the key components of relational leadership, including building trust, practicing empathy, and fostering open communication, and be able to apply these concepts to create a more inclusive and collaborative team environment.

    Understanding the Self as a Leader

    Participants will be able to evaluate their own leadership styles and personal values to strengthen self-awareness and improve decision-making, communication, and team engagement in the delivery of care.

    Baldridge Leadership Framework 

    Participants will be able to describe and apply key components of the Baldrige Leadership Framework to strengthen organizational effectiveness, quality improvement, and leadership accountability in health center operations. 

  • Navigating Team Challenges - Building Performance through Feedback 

    Participants will be able to explain how constructive feedback impacts team cohesion and performance. 

    Enhance team cohesion

    Participants will formulate strategies to foster an environment of continuous learning and open communication within a team. 

    Building Strong Teams 

    Participants will differentiate between a group and a team, and identify key traits of successful teams (e.g., clear roles, shared goals, mutual trust). 

    Reimagining Primary Care in the New Delivery System - How to Survive, Thrive, and Lead through Redesign and Change 

    Participants will be able to apply change management principles to guide a team or organization through a redesign process.

  • Mastering Key Finance Fundamentals 

    Participants will learn fundamental concepts in key business areas to be able to analyze trends and understand the interconnectedness of different departments within a health center. 

    Financial Tool Application 

    Participants will utilize tools for cost-benefit analysis and return on investment (ROI) to evaluate new programs or technologies. 

  • Define clinical excellence

    Participants will be able to articulate a clear definition of clinical excellence and its importance as a core value for a healthcare organization. 

    Align clinical excellence with organizational goals

    Participants will be able to explain how to integrate clinical excellence into strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and overall business objectives. 

    Understand the benefits of multidisciplinary teams

    Participants will be able to explain the advantages of a team-based approach for patient care, including improved outcomes and enhanced patient experience. 

    Describe the unique challenges of public health leadership

    Participants will be able to recognize and analyze the complexities of leading in a public health context, including resource constraints and diverse stakeholder interests. 

    Apply principles of community engagement

    Participants will be able to develop and implement strategies to partner with and engage diverse communities effectively.

  • Burnout, Moral Injury, and Resilience 

    Differentiate between burnout and moral injury

    Define each concept and recognize their distinct causes and impacts on healthcare professionals. 

    Lead a culture of resilience

    Implement organizational strategies to mitigate the root causes of burnout and moral injury within a team or department. 

    Using Improvement Science to Drive Clinical Results 

    Define and explain Improvement Science

    Articulate the core principles of Improvement Science and its role in enhancing patient care and maintaining team functioning and sustainability 

    Apply a structured improvement methodology

    Utilize a framework like the PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) cycle to design and implement a quality improvement project. 

    Group Visits as Value in Healthcare

    Analyze the benefits of group visits for patients and providers

    Articulate the value proposition of group visits beyond financial metrics, including improved patient outcomes and reduced provider burnout. 

  • Defining Value-Based Care (VBC) 

    Understand the foundational background of what Value-Based Care means in a community health center and how aligning improved health with increased payment creates virtual cycles
